ABOUT THE CLUB
OUR STORY
Mountainbike Tauranga was founded in 2007 by a group of passionate local riders with a simple mission: build great trails and grow mountain biking in the Tauranga region. We became an incorporated society in 2008 and have not looked back since.
Today we are the focal point for mountain biking in the greater Tauranga region, with a community of around 1,400 riders. We support and help maintain some of the region's best riding, including Summerhill and Ōropi Grove. We are proud members of the New Zealand Mountain Bike Association and hold the distinction of being New Zealand's first IMBA-affiliated club.
Over the years we have grown from a small trail-building crew into a thriving club that runs events, youth development, skills clinics and regular organised rides across Tauranga and beyond. Onwards and upwards, come ride with us.
THE COMMITTEE
Our club is run by a volunteer committee and a crew of trail builders and event organisers. Committee names and roles to be added.
